A portal with current statewide coronavirus data initiated by the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) is available on the City of Las Cruces COVID-19 Alert Center at COVID19Lascruces.com. The link titled NMDOH COVID-19 Public Dashboard is on the left side menu.
The portal has COVID-19 data specific to positive cases and testing in the state. According to NMDOH, the data dashboard includes county-by-county breakdowns of positive cases by age, gender and ethnicity. The portal also includes reporting about testing by county and zip code by clicking on the color-coded map.
“The portal is a quick, easy way for Las Crucens to access the most current coronavirus information, not just in our area, but statewide,” said Interim City Manager David Maestas. “Knowledge is a key factor in staying ahead of this virus and maintaining our health. So, I encourage all community members to routinely visit the portal.”
Other information includes total hospitalizations, current hospitalizations, total deaths and total recovered.
“I’m grateful to our NMDOH partners for initiating and maintaining this highly informative portal. It will go a long way towards keeping us better informed,” Maestas said.
City of Las Cruces news releases are available on the home page of the City website at las-cruces.org under News & Announcements and can be translated into Spanish and multiple other languages using the Select Language feature on the lower right side of the page.
