The City has been receiving notifications from concerned citizens that some business are not in compliance with the order. The City hopes to educate businesses first before any action is taken allowing time for correction and compliance. Actions may include a revocation of business license in extreme cases if documented repeated violations occur. Codes Enforcement can respond if necessary. (575) 528-4100.
Not wearing a face masks was another concern identified by citizens. The City is recommending residents follow the recommendation on the CDC to wear one when out in public but because they are not mandated, the City is also not mandating their use.
