OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, the Town of Mesilla, City of Anthony, City of Sunland Park and Village of Hatch.  

JIC members collaborate on a daily conference call at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. The notes compiled during that call are made available at www.las-cruces.org and www.donaanacounty.org 

HOSPITAL UPDATES 

ADVISORY: Current hospital capacity for providing care to critical patients is positive. Our healthcare providers and first responders would like to inform the public that we can respond safely to any medical emergency. Anyone experiencing symptoms of chest pain, or signs of a stroke, including facial drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech or other significant difficulty IT IS TIME TO CALL 911. As hospitals continue to address COVID-19 related situations, they remain safe for anyone requiring emergency care.

Las Cruces-area business owners will have an opportunity to learn more about resources offered by the state of New Mexico in a Zoom meeting tomorrow with Deputy Cabinet Secretary Jon Clark, New Mexico Economic Development Department and Cabinet Secretary Bill McCamley, New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.
