Las Cruces Utilities will conduct booster station testing in the area of Airport Road and Crawford Boulevard between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Tuesday May 12 through Friday, May 15. Potential affected areas will include the West Mesa Industrial Park area.
Businesses may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the city recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, businesses should flush all cold water faucets in the business for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the Las Cruces Utilities at 526-0500 for assistance.
