OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, the Town of Mesilla, City of Anthony, City of Sunland Park and Village of Hatch.  

JIC members collaborate on a daily conference call at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. The notes compiled during that call are made available at and

Oscar Dominguez, City Manager – City will have a special meeting today at 2 p.m. virtually. Link is on website. Tentatively opening Monday, May 18 with limited services. Will be advising against unnecessary travel.  

City of Sunland Park

Testing at DOH will only be on Monday and Wednesday now 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. No testing on Tuesdays and Thursdays as previously reported.

Earlier today, the county distributed a schedule of testing for government workers being done by appointment.  

County is partnering with DOH to add testing sites. Testing will be done at the Community Resource Centers in conjunction with Casa de Peregrinos food distribution at ChaparralVado, La Mesa and Mesquite.
