Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) will launch its latest neighborhood beautification program called “Team Up to Clean Up!” with a neighborhood cleanup in District 2 from 8 a.m. to noon on March 16. Residents are encouraged to gather their neighbors and clean up their neighborhood as part of an initiative to have all residents join efforts towards maintaining property, beginning where they live. KLCB will provide supplies such as bags, gloves, and locations if needed.
“Team Up to Clean Up!” is a beautification project to help reverse the process of neighborhood deterioration and enhance the quality of life. The goal of this project is to enlist owners and tenants to voluntarily eliminate neighborhood deterioration and unsafe conditions in order to enhance property values as well as create a cleaner, safer and healthier environment.
KLCB will identify neighborhood leaders to help organize the cleanup projects. Data will be recorded on trash collected and the progress on beautification in the neighborhoods.
