OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, the Town of Mesilla, City of Anthony, City of Sunland Park and Village of Hatch.  

JIC members collaborate on a daily conference call at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. The notes compiled during that call are made available at www.las-cruces.org and www.donaanacounty.org

Community testing: will be moving the white tent to the back parking lot. Lacking kits from the state, which means there won’t be community testing in the parking lot until those arrive. Outside testing is under the direction of the DOH; testing inside is ongoing and not affected by test deficit outside.

Saturday, MVRDA began tracking reports of people not wearing face coverings. In total, 14 calls were handled related to that complaint; 8 were related to large gatherings and six were vendors who were not wearing the required face coverings.
