Police Badge

The Las Cruces Fire Department and New Mexico National Guard assisted the New Mexico Department of Health during a Covid-19 testing event on May 20.

Lt. Tibor Kocsis and firefighter Kristin Wahlen, both paramedics with LCFD, assisted during the Test and Go site in Las Cruces on the morning of Wednesday, May 20.

“LCFD understands that it is crucial to help treat, isolate or hospitalize people who are infected,” said Las Cruces Fire Department Chief Eric Enriquez. “Testing also is important in the bigger public health picture on mitigation efforts to combat the spread and contagiousness of the disease within our community.”

The Las Cruces Fire Department will be assisting the Department of Health in upcoming test sites throughout Dona Ana County.
