Traffic calming devices will be placed on Las Cruces Avenue to slow traffic as part of the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. Installation of speed tables will begin Friday, May 29, on Las Cruces Avenue between Solano Drive and Tornillo Street.
Additional signage along Las Cruces Avenue will be installed in conjunction with the construction of the traffic calming devices. Roadwork is expected to take approximately one week and will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Motorists are asked to use caution through this area or use alternatives routes to avoid possible delays as the construction will have intermittent road closures that will affect traffic along Las Cruces Avenue. The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in the immediate area at this time and RoadRUNNER Transit routes will not be affected.
