Flags outside of all City, state and federal buildings will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Wednesday in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week. The President of the United States of America has issued a proclamation declaring all flags should be lowered.

City Custodial Supervisor Anthony Garcia and his staff will take care of raising and lowering the U.S. and other flags at certain City buildings and other facilities, in compliance with the Presidential proclamation. The Las Cruces airport, police, fire, and Parks & Recreation departments will handle these directives through their individual protocols.
