Due to on-going snow, low visibility, and potential of crashes on the roadways, the City of Las Cruces offices have closed at 2:30 p.m. for the safety of personnel and the public.
At this time, the City is recommending that residents and guests remain safe at home.
Polls will remain open in the lobby of City Hall until 7 p.m.
All non-public meetings are hereby canceled and will be rescheduled. Public hearings, those conducted via Zoom, will be recorded for rebroadcast on CLC TV. Quorum issues must be considered and they may ultimately be cancelled, but staff will attempt to implement them remotely if possible.
Transit services (bus service and Dial-a-Ride) will continue operate as normal until 6 p.m.
Branigan Memorial Library will close at 3 p.m.
Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley has also closed at 2:30 p.m.
Depending on road conditions tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28, Solid Waste routes may be delayed, but customers are asked to place containers out for service by 6 a.m.
Please check online las-cruces.org, or the City's Social Media accounts for the latest closures and modifications.
