On Aug. 17, 2020, the Las Cruces City Council considered and approved Resolution 20-019, which called for increases in permit fees related to a variety of services provided by the Community Development Department for permitting and inspections.
“The Resolution calls for simplifying and streamlining the fees list into one document and update the fees in general to current market conditions and customer service resourcing,” Community Development Director Larry Nichols said. “This is important to allow for consistency in the fee structure and to partially compensate for increasing costs of resources to support the services provided by the department personnel, which includes adopting newer technology that helps improve the customer service experience.”
