The Thomas Branigan Memorial Library is pleased to offer Healing Library Boxes for families available for check out on Monday, November 16.
The Branigan Library is partnering with The Healing Library to bring materials designed to make a family's journey of healing following a trauma easier to navigate and personalize. The boxes include books, conversation starters, activities, community engagement ideas all geared toward helping families deal with a range of difficult situations. Currently, the collection includes the following boxes: Death of a Pet, Divorce & Separation, Alzheimer’s & Your Family, and COVID-19.
The Healing Library boxes will be available for check-out on a library card starting November 16th and can be checked out for 3 weeks. The boxes may also be placed on hold (just like books and DVDs) using your library card. Healing Library boxes will include a checklist for ensuring kit contents are accounted for and a pricelist for replacing elements of the kit.
