[ARCHIVED] Take-Out STEM Activities From the Museum of Nature & Science in December

The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science continues to offer to take out activity kits in December. Kits are free but require reservations. To reserve kits please contact Stephanie at shawkins@las-cruces.org or call 575-522-3120. Kits are available while supplies last. Pursuant to state health guidelines, social distancing measures are in place and mask-wearing is required. 

December 2 “Saturday Family Science – Art Bots” 
Build a rumbling robot that scribbles on its own. Recommended ages 7 and up. This kit will be accompanied by an instructional video posted to www.facebook.com/lcmuseums on December 5.

December 9 “Nature & Science Discovery Pre-K” 
Explore the universe with two space-themed activities with the Planeteers kit. Recommended for ages 2-5. This program will be accompanied by instructional videos at www.facebook.com/lcmuseums on December 10 and 17.

December 16 “Bird Migration Board Game” 
 Survive the struggles migratory birds face every year in this original Museum of Nature & Science board game. Recommended for ages 7 and up.

The Museum of Nature & Science is located at 411 N. Main Street and is accessible from RoadRUNNER Transit Route 1 Stop 36.
