OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, the Town of Mesilla, City of Anthony, City of Sunland Park and Village of Hatch.  

JIC members collaborate on a weekly conference call at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays. The notes compiled during that call are made available at and

City of Anthony Chief Vanessa Ordoñez, Anthony Police Dept.   Oscar Dominguez, City Manager APD staff is working by appointment only.     · The City shut down all non-essential services (MVD, City Clerk, Library) 11/16-11-30.   Announcement on our website:

Jennifer Martinez Updates for the City of Las Cruces: 

Steve Ramirez  City Makes Changes in Response to Governor's Health Orders Branigan Library Grab and Go and Computer Lab Access  

Las Cruces Police / Las Cruces Fire 

Dan Trujillo LCP/F has launched a social media campaign thanking health care workers.  Temp checks at secure door to LCP.  Lobby open on Monday and Thursday. 

Las Cruces Public Schools

Kelly Jameson  All staff are working from home with the exception of janitorial and facilities staff.  Special ed and athletics have been suspended.

Town of Mesilla 

Dorothy Sellers Town Hall employees will begin teleworking starting Monday, November 23, 2020.  Town Hall, parks and Plaza are all closed.  

Memorial Medical Center Ryan Perkins  Work continues on a video in partnership with Mountain View RMC to alert community to use precaution during the upcoming holidays.  Also defining the difference between your household and extended family.  

MountainView Regional Medical 


Ben Woods  Ben Woods thanked everyone for help with the “thank you healthcare workers” campaign.  Honk for healthcare at noon today in the Mountain View RMC parking lot.   

New Mexico State University 

Justin Bannister  NMSU campus is only open to students, faculty and staff.  Spring semester will be hybrid of online and on campus classes.
