[ARCHIVED] “A Universe of Stories” Children’s Summer Reading Launch Day

5…4…3…2…1 - BLAST OFF to “A Universe of Stories” this summer in the Children’s Department at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library! The 2019 Children’s Summer Reading Program will give children and families a chance to explore the wonders of our universe through programs and our annual reading challenge.

The Summer Reading Challenge for kids allows new readers, seasoned readers, and even listeners to earn prizes for time spent with a book during the summer. Families are invited to try something new by attending our children’s programming and special events. You could hear new stories or songs, read a new book, try a new craft, meet new people, and much more!

The space journey starts 3 p.m. Monday, June 3 with a performance by musician Jordan Wax in the Roadrunner Room. Register for the Summer Reading Challenge at the children’s desk and attend the launch day

All programs are free and are part of the library’s Summer Reading Program with special performances thanks to the Friends of the Library, and some prizes thanks to Dion’s.
