The City of Las Cruces is hosting a public meeting to provide information and obtain input about the South Fork Moreno Arroyo Drainage Master Plan. The drainage study area is in City Council District 5. It starts to the east of Rinconada Boulevard/Parkhill Drive and ends near the county line at Moreno Road.
The purpose of the master drainage plan is to develop conceptual design options that will help reduce storm runoff and help stabilize erosion problems within the contributing drainage basins. Based on funding and public input, the City of Las Cruces will prioritize the drainage design options and proceed with a capital improvement project for implementation of the design and construction.
The public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 at the Las Cruces Home Builders Association Building Meeting Hall (2825 N. Main Street).
If you would like more information about the meeting, please contact the City’s Public Works Project Development office at (575) 528-3135. If you are unable to attend but would like to provide input, you may also call (575) 528-3135.
