On Wednesday, February 3 at 1 p.m. MST, a demonstration of the "SoulCollage" expressive arts practice will be presented by local artist and educator Jan Hampton. Founded by Seena B. Frost, the SoulCollage method develops creativity and intuition, encourages self-discovery, and provides personal guidance. Friday, February 12 at 4 p.m. MST, we will feature artists from the upcoming Geometric Aljamia exhibition at the Museum of Art who will discuss their work and lead us through a virtual gallery tour. This exhibition is a cross-cultural collaboration that addresses how Medieval connections between the Islamic world and Europe during the Golden Age of the Islamic Civilization (8th Century-13th Century) continue to be relevant and vibrant in the 21st Century. On Tuesday, February 23 at 1 p.m. MST, a lecture will be presented on "The World of Papercut Art" by artist and educator Susan Leviton. Papercut art is found in cultures all over the world with many unique styles and adaptations. A common trait in many papercut styles is intricate designs cut into a single sheet of paper.
