Las Cruces residents are reminded they should register through the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) website if they want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Any Las Crucen or New Mexico resident who has not yet registered for the COVID-19 vaccine and wants to be vaccinated should go online to https://cvvaccine.nmhealth.org/my-registration.html. As of Feb. 7, 2021, more than 590,000 New Mexicans had registered for the vaccine.
Anyone who wants to be vaccinated must complete the online profile in order to be eligible to receive the vaccine. Registrants do not have to complete their profile in one sitting and can return to the website at a future date.
Everyone who begins a registration to be eligible to receive the vaccine will be issued a confirmation code, that will be sent in a follow-up email after beginning their registration. It is important that the confirmation code be remembered, or kept in safe place, since it will be needed to complete registration or when contacted by NMDOH to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated.
To complete registration for a COVID vaccine, everyone will be required to fill out a profile that includes personal information; chronic medical conditions; demographic information; employer information, if available, and health insurance information, if also available.
The confirmation code issued to everyone who registers for the COVID-19 vaccine will be needed, with the person’s date of birth, to re-enter the website to either complete registration or to update any information.
Upon completion of a profile, the person who registers should eventually be contacted by the New Mexico Department of Health to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated. On the day of an appointment, the Department of Health will prompt the person to be vaccinated to fill out a medical questionnaire.
Until contacted by NMDOH to schedule an appointment, everyone should be aware the supply of COVID-19 vaccine is limited. While efforts are underway by City officials to help expedite supplies, residents who register for the vaccine are urged to be patient.
Anyone who has completed the registration but has already been vaccinated should go back to the website and check the box indicating the registered person has been vaccinated.
