Las Cruces Utilities Internship Program

LCU Interns Graduate

Looking for a way to afford your Associate’s degree without student loans, with a paid part-time job during school?

Then, have the ability for that turn into a guaranteed full-time job immediately after graduation with a great future? Las Cruces Utilities Internship program is offering this opportunity! This year, it’s even easier to apply because citizenship is no longer a mandatory requirement. Dreamers are welcome! 

The Las Cruces Utilities Internship Program pays for tuition and various other reasonable education-related expenses including a bi-weekly stipend and paid on-the-job training to assist with educational and living expenses. In addition, the intern is required to work 20 hours per week maximum during semesters; 40 hours per week maximum during academic breaks; and a minimum of two to eight years of full-time service employment with the City after graduation, depending on the internship program use. The service obligation must be completed at Las Cruces Utilities in the Water, Wastewater, or Regulatory Sections.
