[ARCHIVED] Virtual Spring Marathon

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will offer a Virtual Spring Marathon! This no cost program is for individuals, or family and friends in groups of 5 or less. Beginning April 4, leave the winter and COVID blues in the dust and start moving forward by completing 26 miles in a six-week period. A virtual marathon can be completed from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on one of the many beautiful trails in and around Las Cruces, on the treadmill, or in the park in your community. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

You will need a fitness tracker to track your miles, and daily/weekly photo submittals of your walk or run. You will receive notifications of your status weekly. Upon finishing the 26-mile marathon (at the end of the six-week period), participants will receive a T-shirt for their accomplishment! Registration period is March 15 – March 26, 2021. A pre-marathon Zoom meeting will be held on March 31, 2021 for registered participants.

* Please use COVID-safe practices: keeping 6 foot distance, wearing masks, and washing your hands. #CrucesCares.
