[ARCHIVED] Transit Employees Connie Torres and Shannon Prescott

Connie Torres and Shannon Prescott

To: Transit Department

From: Tito Hinojosa, Citizen

Mr. Tito Hinojosa called to commend the actions of Constance Torres (Transit Training Coordinator) and Shannon Prescott (Fixed Route Driver) following a vehicle accident they witnessed at Spruce Street and Triviz Drive on February 22, 2021. A minivan rear-ended Mr. Hinojosa’s Jeep. Connie and Shannon immediately went to render aid to Mr. Hinojosa who was very much shaken by the accident and had to be taken to the hospital for observation. Additionally, the driver of the vehicle that rear-ended Mr. Hinojosa’s vehicles tried to escape but was blocked by the stopped bus. Connie and Shannon did not move the bus which allowed the vehicle to remain blocked until the police arrived.

Mr. Hinojosa was extremely grateful for the caring and kind response of Connie and Shannon and their quick actions. He explained he has serious health issues but fortunately is doing well.

Finally, Mr. Hinojosa expressed his great appreciation to the emergency responders and police officers who arrived at the scene.
