RoadRUNNER Transit will be more affordable than ever beginning Saturday, June 1 when the new lower rate for adult and reduced rate day passes goes into effect. Transit users can take same day, unlimited rides anywhere in the city by purchasing a Day Pass for only $2 ($1.00 for reduced rate. Must be qualified.) Transfers will no longer be required and will be discontinued after July 1, 2019 to allow the public to transition to the new system. The new rates align with extended bus service hours (implemented on May 13, 2019) as part of RoadRUNNER Transit’s long-term plan to make public transit accessible and convenient for everyone.
Tokens will also be discontinued. Any tokens in circulation will remain valid for a single bus ride fare, and two tokens can be converted to a single day pass. Tokens will continue to be accepted on the buses but will no longer be available for sale.
