The City of Las Cruces has selected Tony Trevino for promotion into the position of Deputy Director of Public Works.
Trevino received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of New Mexico and Texas.
He has excelled through the City organization during his seven years, most recently serving as the Engineering Administrator in the Public Works Department. Prior to his role as the Engineering Administrator, Trevino was a Senior Civil Engineer and was in the private sector for 11 years.
As the Engineering Administrator, he oversaw the Road and Drainage Engineers, Survey staff, and the City’s Architect within the department. He is respected by staff and co-workers, is known for his collaborative efforts and teamwork throughout the City, appreciated for his problem-solving skills by the contracting community, and focuses on his customers to include staff, City departments, businesses, residents, and guests.
