As part of the 2019-2020 Pavement Replacement Project, there will be a water outage on Rosedale Drive (between Hoagland Road and Carlyle Drive) and on Stout Lane (between Rosedale Drive and Dona Ana Road) on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. for the placement of two water valves.
Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, city crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, city officials recommend waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all cold water and exterior faucets in the house for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the Las Cruces Utilities at 526-0500 for assistance.
The water outage will take place in City of Las Cruces Council District #4.
