Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., and branch libraries at Munson Center, 975 S. Mesquite Ave., and Sage Café, 6121 Reynolds Drive, will be upgrading core computer system functions on March 18, 2019. The upgrade is scheduled to begin early Monday morning and will last for several hours.
“This is an essential upgrade for our library functions. We anticipate the system will be offline for no more than a few hours, barring any unforeseen issues,” Library Administrator Margaret Neill said.
The upgrade is expected to impact some library services. Patrons will be able to check out items, however library staff will be unable to check in items, check accounts, accept fines or fees or add holds to the system during the upgrade. Also, patrons will not have access to the library’s online catalog.
The public computer lab and Wi-Fi connectivity will not be impacted, and the library and branch locations will be open at their usual times.
