The Museum of Nature & Science and Sigma Xi present “Science Café – Quantifying Uncertainty in Geohydrological Systems to Support Water Resources Management.”
Guest speaker Ruba Mohamed, Ph.D, joins us via Zoom at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20 from New Mexico State University. Please contact Stephanie at shawkins@las-cruces.org to request a link to the program or go to zoom.us with webinar ID 87847211553.
Understanding the geological and hydrogeological systems is crucial when dealing with water resources management. Hear about a case study from a contaminated water way in Tennessee and find out what environmental scientists are doing to determine the best way to track and manage contamination in waterways.
Ruba Mohamed, Ph.D., is a staff research scientist in the Plant and Environmental Sciences Department at NMSU. Mohamed’s research focuses on pollution control, geochemistry, and environmental sustainability.
The Museum of Nature & Science, 411 N. Main St., is currently closed due to the public health order. The museum is accessible via RoadRUNNER Transit Route 1, Stop 36.
