Thomas Branigan Memorial Library is pleased to offer new kits available for checkout called Let’s Explore backpacks. Let’s Explore backpacks will be available starting Monday, April 19th.
The Let’s Explore backpacks encourage families to explore the Mesilla Valley’s precious outdoor resources. The backpacks are geared toward youth, ages K-5, and each highlights a different park in the region. Let’s Explore backpacks include maps, books, activity tools, and first aid supplies. Parks featured in these kits include: Organ Mountains National Monument, Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park, White Sands National Park, Prehistoric Trackways National Monument, Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park, and the Night Sky.
The Let’s Explore backpacks are available for check-out on a library card and can be kept for 3 weeks. The backpacks may also be placed on hold (just like books and DVDs) using your library card. Let’s Explore backpacks include a checklist for ensuring kit contents are accounted for and a pricelist for replacing elements of the kit if lost.
