The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department still has open spots for the Teen Connection Program. This program is designed to provide a place where teens can gather socially in a safe environment to engage in a variety of supervised educational and recreational activities. The program will be following public health order directives and the NMDOH guidelines, which include limiting the numbers of people gathering, wearing face coverings, practicing social distancing, and washing of hands. Participant temperatures will be checked before access to programs. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. - Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave.: Noon to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The program is free and serves youth in 6th thru 12th grade, located at Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 Bell Ave. Program hours are from 3:45 - 7:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday and 3:45 - 9:30 p.m., Fridays. At this time, we are unable to transport participants from other locations to the program.
