As part of the City’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure growth, Construction Management is working with a renewable energy company to construct and provide solar energy to facilities at the Las Cruces International Airport. A tree will be removed on the southeast side of the building located at 8960 Zia Boulevard to make room for the construction.
As grounds are prepared for the electrical upgrades, barrels, cones, and/or construction fence will be placed as appropriate to delineate the work zones. For pedestrian and vehicular safety, flag men will be utilized as needed during equipment crossing of sidewalks and or crossing of Zia Blvd. Work will take place April 23, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This project is in City Council District No.4.
Access to businesses will always be maintained. For more information, call the Public Works Department/Construction Management at 575/528-3098. The TTY number is 575/541-2182.
