As part of a Crack Sealing Maintenance Project throughout the City streets, temporary lane closures will begin on Monday April 26, for the following areas:
- South Melendres Street, from west Amador Avenue to Main Street. This work will be in City Council District 4.
- West Gallagher Avenue, including Nina's Place, from Alameda Boulevard to Main Street. This work will be in City Council District 1.
- South Main Street, from Alameda Boulevard and El Paseo Road to Avenida de Mesilla. This work will be in City Council District 4.
- Amador Avenue, from north Archuleta Road to Roundtree Place. This work will be in City Council District 4.
The work is scheduled to take five working days. For the public’s convenience, crews will only work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday leaving evenings and weekends free of construction activity.
The temporary lane closure will not go into effect until after the morning rush hour and will be removed before the afternoon rush hour. The lane closure will affect RoadRUNNER Transit bus stops 36 and 37, on south Melendres Street.
Access to surrounding residences and businesses will be maintained by leaving the driveways accessible. Motorists who want to avoid any possible delays should seek an alternate route.
