[ARCHIVED] New Traffic Calming on Fairway Driveway

Red Truck

Traffic calming devices will be placed on Fairway Drive to slow traffic in the area as part of the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. Installation of one of the speed tables will take place on Thursday, May 6, and the second speed table will be installed on Thursday, May 13. The work will take place on Fairway Drive between Imperial Ridge and Pomona Drive. Additional signage along Fairway Drive will be installed in conjunction with the construction of the traffic calming devices. Roadwork will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists are asked to use caution through this area or use alternatives routes to avoid possible delays as the construction will have intermittent road closures that will affect traffic along Fairway Drive.

The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in the immediate area at this time and RoadRUNNER Transit routes will not be affected.

The road construction will be limited to Council District 2.

For more information contact the Public Works Department, Traffic Management section at 575/541-2505. The TTY number is 575/541-2182.
