There will be a lane closure north of the intersection of Old Farm Road and the Gillem Lateral beginning today, Monday, May 3. It is anticipated that this lane closure be in effect for one week, depending on weather conditions. The lane closure will support a water rehabilitation project for Las Cruces Utilities
Motorists wanting to avoid any possible delays should seek an alternative route. Access to surrounding residences will be maintained during the construction.
For the public’s convenience, crews will work only Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. leaving the evenings free of construction activity. The lane closure will not affect the RoadRUNNER Transit route.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time.
The work activity is in City Council District No.2.
