The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science continues to offer take out activity kits in May. Kits are free but require reservation. To reserve kits please contact Stephanie at shawkins@las-cruces.org. Kits are available while supplies last and must be picked up on Wednesday, May 19. Pursuant to state health guidelines, social distancing measures are in place and mask-wearing is required.
“Saturday Family Science – Homopolar Motor”
Learn about electric currents by building a simple homopolar motor. Recommended for ages 7 and older.
“STEAMpunk – Ahmed Zewail - Femtochemistry”
Experiment with the seemingly instantaneous changes of chemical reactions. Recommended for ages 7 and older.
“Nature & Science Discovery Pre-K”
Explore the ancient past with two paleontology-themed activities in the Junior Paleontologist kit. Recommended for ages 2 to 5.
“Animal Scat Detective”
Learn how to identify animals in your area by studying their scat with the help of this animal scat detective kit! Recommended for ages 7 and older.
