A new fire station is currently being reconstructed in City Council District 4, at 390 N. Valley Drive, as part of the City's General Obligation (GO) Bond to replace the older Fire Station No. 3 building.
On Wednesday, May 12, contractors will begin pouring concrete at the site. Cement trucks will be coming between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. to pour the foundation for the building, since it is more ideal to set the foundation in cooler temperatures. The City would like to offer residents and businesses in the area a courtesy notice that there may be additional noise outside of normal working hours. Traffic will not be impacted due to the concrete work, but the noise may be louder in the area during that work.
Access to businesses and residences during construction will always be maintained.
