A new Fire Station is currently being constructed in Las Cruces Council District #4 as part of the City's General Obligation (GO) Bond to replace the Fire Station 3 building. On Wednesday, May 12, contractors will begin pouring concrete at the site at the 300 block of N. Valley Drive. Cement Trucks will be coming in to pour the foundation of the building between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m., since it is more ideal to set in cooler temperatures. The City would like to offer residents and businesses in the area a courtesy notice that there may be additional noise outside of normal working hours. Traffic will not be impacted due to the concrete work, but the noise may be louder in this area during the work.
