The City of Las Cruces is offering Adaptive Art Classes and Craft Classes beginning the week of May 18.
The Adaptive Art Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Craft Classes will be offered on Thursdays, taking place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Classes will be at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave.
Classes will focus on coordination skills inspiring creativity through expression. Each class will have a different project and all supplies will be provided.
Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Parks & Recreation Department has instituted new procedures to visit its facilities to ensure the health and safety of staff and participants. Participants with COVID-19 symptoms, or who are sick, will not be permitted to enter. Participants are required to follow public health order guidelines by wearing a face mask over their nose and mouth and maintaining a distance of at least six feet from others at all times.
- Participants will be required to submit an updated waiver.
- Participants will be required to bring their own water.
- Participants can check in 10 minutes prior to the scheduled session and will have their temperature checked upon their arrival.
The program requires preregistration in order to participate and will be on-going. Register at www.las-cruces.org/play. No telephone registrations will be accepted. There are no fees to participate.
