As part of the City’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure growth, Construction Management is working with a company to construct and provide solar energy to facilities at Las Cruces International Airport.
Utility boring underneath Zia Boulevard and Crawford Avenue will be implemented as the electrical system is being upgraded to include solar energy. Street parking on Zia Avenue will be limited during the workdays. Barrels, cones, and/or construction fence will be placed as appropriate to delineate the work zones.
For the safety of pedestrians and vehicles, flagmen will be utilized during this work. Work will be underway from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 19. This project is in City Council District 4.
Access to businesses will be maintained. For information, call the Public Works Department/Construction Management at 575/528-3098. The TTY number is 575/541-2182.
