[ARCHIVED] Roof Repair Scheduled for Thomas Branigan Memorial Library

Thomas Branigan Library

As part of the City’s commitment to keeping its facilities in a clean, safe, and well-maintained condition, along with providing responsive customer service, Facilities Management has contracted with a local firm to repair and recoat the roof of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library building.

Mobilization for this work will start at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 19. This work will continue weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through June 30. Depending on weather conditions, some work may be required to be performed on weekends.

Contractor access to perform this work will be via the driveway/parking area on the south side of the building near the loading dock. In addition, noise and other potential irritants associated with this type of roof repair process are expected to be minimal and/or non-existent. Therefore, it is anticipated that this work will not impact staff or patrons at the site.

The contractor will place cones and/or warning tape if needed during the project.

The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time.

Access to businesses and residences will always be maintained.

For more information, call the City Manager’s Office/Facilities Management at 575/541-2502. The TTY number is 575/541-2182.
