Good morning, Jennifer! I won’t be able to attend the call this morning but here is the COVID-related information that was provided to me for the JIC this week:

·               Doña Ana County is helping the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to promote the Emergency Broadband Benefit program. The temporary benefit will help to lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the ongoing pandemic. Eligibility requirements and information about how to apply are posted on our website.  https://www.donaanacounty.org/press_release/emergency-broadband-benefit-provides-broadband-and-device-discounts

·               Emergency rent and utility assistance is still available to all Doña Ana County residents that rent or rent-to-own. More information and the application can be found on our website. www.DonaAnaCounty.org/rent-utilities-assistance

·               The Board of County Commissioners directed that a public hearing be conducted at their regular meeting on June 22, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. on the question of whether to approve repealing the ordinance that requires the wearing of face masks or facial coverings in public places in Doña Ana County. All Doña Ana County residents are encouraged to send their input via email to publicinput@donaanacounty.org
