[ARCHIVED] Sports Still Available for 2021 Summer Recreation Program

Summer Fun

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department still has spots available for the Summer Recreation Program for youth grades kindergarten to fifth grade.

Come join us as we provide a safe, fun and exciting summer for all participants. The program spots are available first-come, first-serve. Registration options are as follows: online at -- click on the online registration link, or at the following locations during regular business hours: 

  • Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave.
  • Parks and Recreation Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave. (By appointment only, call 575/541-2550).

Session I: June 1 to July 2 Meerscheidt Recreation Center.
Session I: June 1 – June 14 Frank O’Brien Papen Center* (Participants will move to Hermosa Heights Elementary on June 15).
Session I: June 15 to July 2 Hermosa Heights Elementary*.
Session I: June 15 to July 2 Sierra Middle School**.
Session II: July 6 to July 30 Meerscheidt, Hermosa Heights and Sierra Middle School.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave.
*Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave. (Participants will move to Hermosa Heights Elementary on June 15)
*Hermosa Heights Elementary School, 1655 E. Amador Ave.
Sierra Middle School, 1700 E. Spruce Ave.

$200 per session, per child.
**$100 for Session I due to late start.

Kindergarten to fifth grade (2020-2021 school year)
(Proof of grade may be required.)

No telephone registrations will be accepted.
