SmART Workshop Series for Artists

The Las Cruces City Art Board will launch its SmART educational workshops in a four-part series beginning with “Writing an Artist Statement/CV” presented by Marisa Sage, Director, New Mexico State University Art Museum, at 4 p.m. Friday, June 11 via ZOOM. There is no charge for the workshops. To register go to www.las-cruces.org/PublicArt.

“The purpose of the series is to empower local artists in their professional practice,” said Katrina Chandler, Secretary, City Art Board, and Chair of the Board’s Outreach Committee. “The workshops will focus on skills that can help artists succeed at any level.”

Presenter Marisa Sage is the Director and Head Curator of NMSU Art Museum. She serves as a Board member for the Las Cruces Arts and Cultural District. According to her biography, she has planned and executed over 100 international exhibitions, which included more than 200 individual artists globally in her 15-year career.
