[ARCHIVED] Parks & Recreation Aquatics Facilities Summer Schedule

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department Aquatics Section outdoor pools, splash pad, and  Plaza de Las Cruces Interactive Fountain will open June 19.

Peak summer hours of operation will be from June 19 through Sept. 6, 2021 and will be as follows:

East Mesa Bataan Memorial Pool, 6141 Reynolds Drive. The pool will open June 19. Three open swim sessions will be from noon to 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. The East Mesa Bataan Memorial Pool will be closed Mondays and alternating weekdays.

Laabs Pool, 750 W. Picacho Ave. The pool will open June 19. Three open swim sessions will be from noon to 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Laabs Pool will be closed Mondays and alternating weekdays.

One outdoor pool will remain open Tuesday through Friday on a weekly rotational basis, beginning with Laabs Pool, on June 22.

Frenger Pool, 800 Parkview Drive. Lap swim will be available from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday to Friday. The pool will be closed Saturday and Sunday. Currently, Frenger Pool is closed for repairs.

Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave. The gym, on the second floor of the facility, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. The Regional Aquatic Center will be closed on Sunday.

Additional Aqua Fitness classes and Lap Swim will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

No fitness sessions will be conducted on Saturday.

Open Swim sessions will be from noon to 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

The Regional Aquatic Center’s new “Peak” summer hours will begin June 19 and continue through Sept. 6, 2021. These programs have been developed with the health, wellness, and safety of participants and staff in mind. These protocols and capacities are subject to change as the state and local governing bodies continue to update COVID-19 best practices and policies.

Pool rentals will not be available during this period.

Capacities are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dates, locations, activities, and times are subject to change.

Metro Verde Splash Pad, 7125 Metro Park. Opening June 19. The Metro Verde Splash Pad will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Plaza de Las Cruces Interactive Fountain, 101 E. L Cruces Ave. Opening June 19. The Interactive Fountain will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
