Calle del Ranchero, between Reynolds Drive and Cortez Drive, will be closed for approximately eight weeks beginning Monday, June 14, 2021 and continuing until August 6, 2021, depending on weather conditions.
The utility and road work will be done by Smith and Aguirre Construction Company, Inc. as part of the Las Cruces Utilities Hacienda Acres, Phase II Sewer Improvement project.
Motorists who want to avoid any possible delays should seek an alternate route. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained during the construction.
For the public’s convenience, crews will only work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, leaving the evenings and weekends free of construction activity. The road closure will not affect any RoadRUNNER Transit routes.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time.
The work will be in City Council District 6.
