As part of the City’s commitment to preserving infrastructure assets, construction will take place at Lions Park Handball Courts to install protective sports netting. Barrels, cones, and/or construction fence will be placed as appropriate to delineate the work zones.
Work will take place over the span of two weeks. The handball courts will be closed for the duration of the project. During construction the northwest dirt parking lot on Picacho Avenue will be closed for construction staging purposes.
Closures will begin on Wednesday, June 16, and continue thru Wednesday, June 30. The handball court will reopen for use on Thursday, July 1.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time.
This project is in City Council District No.1. Access to businesses and residences will always be maintained.
