Orange barrels on street

There will be a road closure for the intersection of Stanford Street and the Gillem Lateral starting on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, and the road closure has been extended until Friday, June 25. A detour will be set in place. The road work will be done as part of the the Water Main Rehabilitation, Carreon Place, and the Alley North of Picacho Project.

Motorists wanting to avoid any possible delays should seek an alternative route. Access to surrounding residences will be maintained during the construction. For the public’s convenience, crews will work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. leaving the evenings free of construction activity. The road closure will not affect the RoadRUNNER Transit route. The city has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in that immediate area during this time. The work activity is in City Council District No. 2. For more information, call the Public Works Department/Construction Management at 575/528-3098. The TTY number is 575/541-2182.
