[ARCHIVED] 2021 Tykes N' Spikes Flag Football Registration

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will be offering individual and returning team registration for the upcoming 2021 Tikes N’ Spikes Flag Football League. This FUNdamental recreational league has been developed with the health, wellness, and safety of participants and staff in mind. Participants, coaches, and spectators will be required to follow current Covid-19 Safety Guidelines which includes wearing a form fitting face covering if not fully vaccinated. There will be three age divisions offered to all genders between the ages 4 and 10 (please see age chart below). Players must be at least 4 years old to participate. Cost is $35 for returning team individuals (no jersey) and $45 for new players (includes a game jersey). League play will begin the week of August 9, 2021.  Space is limited and registration is first come, first served.

Returning Team Registration  

Coaches will need to submit a returning team roster to athletics@las-cruces.org no later than June 30, 2021. Players who are listed on a returning team roster will need to register individually at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave. between July 6th and July 9th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Players who fail to register during this time will be considered new players and will need to register during Individual (New Player) Registration. To be considered a returning team, the coach/team must have a minimum of four returning players registered no later than Friday, July 9th.  

Players not interested in joining their returning team can also register individually during Individual (New Player) Registration (dates below).  

Individual (New Player) Registration:  

In person registration will be held at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave. from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 10th. Parents (guardians), along with the child, must appear in person to fill out the permission form, provide proof of child’s age and have the child’s photo taken.
