These are not formal classes but provide an opportunity for learning and conversation between beginner and more experienced participants. Register to attend by emailing Kayla at education@las-cruces.org. For questions email Kayla Myers at kmyers@las-cruces.org.

“Expression and Migration Workshop”

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28

This workshop is inspired by the exhibit “Uncaged Art,” which features art created by youth in immigration detention. Participants learn about youth and migration and then have the opportunity to express themselves through art. Participants are provided an activity kit with various art supplies, from textiles to markers, and will create art pieces that express their emotions about the migration experience. The works will then prompt further conversation and learning among the group. Register to attend by emailing education@las-cruces.org. For questions email Kayla Myers at kmyers@las-cruces.org.

The Branigan Cultural Center is closed for construction through September, 2021. For up-to-date information on museum reopening, virtual programming, and more, visit the Museum System website at: https://www.las-cruces.org/museums or follow us on Facebook and Instagram @LCMuseums.
