The Branigan Cultural Center is still closed to the public for scheduled maintenance. However, residents can still enjoy the museum from home through these online programs.

“History Notes: The Pueblo Revolt with the Pueblo Action Alliance”

1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 8

Discover history and culture through an informal discussion series at 1 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. The theme from July through September is “History of Revolutions and Revolts.” In this presentation, by the community organization Pueblo Action Alliance, hear about the history of the Pueblo Revolt and how those roots still impact pueblo communities today. “What’s the Word: Arabic - A Trip to Comoros”

5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 8

Learn language through culture! Dive into the history and traditions of Comoros while learning and practicing Arabic language skills. These are not formal classes but provide an opportunity for learning and conversation between beginner and more experienced participants. “Expression and Migration Workshop”

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28

This workshop is inspired by the exhibit “Uncaged Art,” which features art created by youth in immigration detention. Participants learn about youth and migration and then have the opportunity to express themselves through art. Participants are provided an activity kit with various art supplies, from textiles to markers, and will create art pieces that express their emotions about the migration experience.
