[ARCHIVED] City Hosts Awareness Meeting for Reconstruction Project in Midway Avenue Area

Front of City Hall

The City of Las Cruces is hosting an awareness meeting for a reconstruction project affecting Midway Avenue between Gasline Road to Mesa Drive at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15 by Zoom.

Located in City Council District 5 north of Bataan Memorial Highway, the reconstruction project will widen the section of Midway Avenue between Gasline Road and Mesa Drive, adding curb and gutter; upgrading utilities, street lights, and water and gas lines; and extending some existing sewer services. Property owners directly adjacent to the project have been notified about the project. The anticipated starting date for the project is late August or early September, and is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program.

This meeting will be held by Zoom for the convenience of attendees and due to a temporary shortage of adequate meeting room space conveniently located for impacted residents. Attendees may access the meeting through the City’s website at the Community Engagement Office web page at https://www.las-cruces.org/215/Community-Engagement-Office. You must be a registered user of Zoom before you can sign up to attend this meeting. Instructions are included on this website page. Once you are a registered user of Zoom, then click on the meeting title Reconstruction Project in Midway Avenue Area.
