Input from Mesquite Historic District residents, to develop an exhibit about this unique neighborhood in the heart of Las Cruces, is sought by the Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main St.
People who have lived in the Mesquite neighborhood are invited to participate in conversations and share their stories about life in downtown Las Cruces. Contact Norma Hartell, Exhibits Curator, at 575/541-2159, or visit the Branigan Cultural Center. Interested residents should keep an eye out for scheduled community conversations at various locations throughout Las Cruces.
This exhibit is part of the “What’s Your Las Cruces?” initiative, a project designed to generate conversation about the region’s history, identity, and culture, which will be used to develop a long-term, community based exhibit at the Branigan Cultural Center.
The Branigan Cultural Center is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday. For information, visit the City’s Museum System website or call 575/541-2154.
